About Security Financial Services

Founded in 1943, Security Financial is an established real estate lender headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our unique lending philosophy has weathered many challenges and has allowed us to originate hundreds of millions in loans.

There are thousands of real estate lenders out there, but few have a small, nimble staff like ours able to take the time to listen to our clients’ needs. We don’t employ sophisticated quantitative models or automate the underwriting process. In fact, we rely on a simple, customer-focused, common-sense underwriting process that doesn’t compromise quality or the ability to offer fast closings. Our underwriting formula has allowed us to thrive for almost 65 years.

Our specialty is to fund real estate loans in Northern California of up to $2,500,000. Our team has a deep understanding of the intricacies of the residential and commercial real estate markets. We have established relationships with many experienced real estate brokers but also frequently work with first-timers as well.

Also, we hold all of our loans until maturity – we don’t resell or securitize any portion of our portfolio.
